Go Army? or Go Home? Should the Army Recruit at College Events?

My community college occasionally holds events in the quad for students. Usually its a Sneakersmix of loud music, free pizza and clubs seeking new members. Today, during the sports themed event one more thing stood out: the army. They set up a table and rock climbing wall. Bulked up Men in fatigues awaited their opportunity to draw in the college crowd.

But this still brings up an interesting question is it okay for the army to recruit at college events?

Here's another interesting question: did the school have the option to say "no" apparently not. According to MSNBC a recent rule said that if a school tries to ban the recruiters they may lose federal funding.

Textbook2 At least one group has something to say about this: Campus Antiwar Network. According to their website, "Campus Antiwar Network is the largest and leading independent, democratic, grassroots network of students opposing the occupation of Iraq and military recruiters in our schools at campuses all over the country. "

Go Army? or Go Home? What's your take?
